The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, strives to promote and deepen the concept of quality with the aim of improving the performance of all faculty members. The Quality Assurance Unit serves as the mechanism through which internal evaluation and review are conducted, with the aim of ensuring the quality of the faculty’s educational, research, and service activities and improving their performance. This includes identifying weaknesses and obstacles, recognizing best practices, and proposing continuous improvement measures to achieve accreditation.

Establishing a continuous internal system for quality assurance within the faculty.
Promoting a culture of quality.
Enhancing institutional performance and ensuring the quality of educational effectiveness.
Monitoring the implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan and tracking the level of its achievement.
Following up on the implementation of development plans within the faculty.
Proposing corrective actions based on feedback from beneficiaries to improve the quality of the educational programs offered by the faculty, as well as institutional performance and facilities supporting the educational process.
Evaluating the performance of all categories within the faculty through the preparation of survey forms and providing appropriate evaluation methods to meet the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
Supporting the professional development of all staff categories through the design and monitoring of training programs.
Adopting the national academic reference standards issued by the NAQAAE for undergraduate programs and the benchmark academic standards for postgraduate programs, and monitoring the preparation, review, and regular updating of program and course specifications accordingly.
Completing accreditation file documentation and monitoring internal review procedures as well as those from the Quality Assurance Center in preparation for applying for accreditation by the NAQAAE.
Maximizing the benefits of teamwork among members of the unit's technical committees and departmental quality committees.
Developing a comprehensive, documented, and publicly available action plan and ensuring its implementation.
Monitoring the implementation of development and improvement plans in all areas of the faculty, based on feedback from stakeholders.
Keeping up with updates in the field of quality assurance systems and discussing related issues and challenges in official meetings.
Tracking the implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan, evaluating progress, and discussing the periodic progress report with senior management.
Ensuring the achievement of the faculty’s mission and strategic objectives.
Spreading quality awareness among faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students to achieve excellence in performance and support task completion, through:
Preparing bulletins, posters, advertisements, and brochures related to spreading the culture of quality within the faculty.
Organizing and conducting workshops, orientation sessions, and training courses to qualify the faculty community in applying quality systems and accreditation standards.
