Admission Rules to the College

Admission Rules to the College

The Faculty of Science accepts students who have obtained the General Secondary School Certificate (Science Section, specializing in Mathematics and Science) or its equivalent, in accordance with the admission requirements set by the Supreme Council of Universities. The Faculty Council may also accept foreign students under the same enrollment and transfer conditions required for Egyptian students. Additionally, the Faculty Council may propose other conditions which are subject to approval by the University Council.

First-level students who have obtained the General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent are distributed into three tracks:

  • Natural Sciences Track: Accepts students with a General Secondary School Certificate in Mathematics or Science.
  • Biological Sciences Track: Accepts students with a General Secondary School Certificate in Science.
  • Geological Sciences Track: Accepts students with a General Secondary School Certificate in Mathematics or Science.

In the case where the General Secondary School Certificate includes both Mathematics and Science, first-level students will be distributed according to internal coordination based on their grades in Mathematics and Science subjects.

The following table (1) outlines the distribution of basic science courses for the first level across the three tracks.

Other programs may be introduced in the first level of the college or departments not listed in Articles 8 and 9 of this regulation, subject to approval by the Faculty Council and the University Council.
