The department offers several study programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as it offers a psychology teacher preparation program, a distinguished psychological and learning difficulties specialist program at the bachelor's degree, and several programs in graduate studies such as the school psychologist track for the general diploma stage, a psychological measurement program, a learning difficulties program, a question bank program in the professional diploma, an educational psychology program at the master's degree, and an educational psychology program at the doctor.
The department includes an elite group of faculty members with academic experience who contribute to enriching the research community, as their research interests vary in many contemporary trends in educational psychology, and the Educational Psychology Department seeks to become one of the leading scientific departments at the local, regional and international levels in the fields of preparing teachers in their various scientific specializations, providing psychological and research consultations, and preparing psychological studies and research.
In addition, the department seeks to continuously develop programs and create new programs to suit the requirements of the local, regional and global market, develop the psychology laboratory, and provide the department with a scientific library that includes the latest books and scientific theses, which provides our students with valuable educational opportunities and experiences.
It also contributes to the psychological and professional formation of student teachers and the preparation of scientific cadres in the field of psychology from teachers or researchers and encourage scientific studies and achieve communication with the community, and then study its needs for various psychological services and work to respond to it and provide them to members of society in general and educational institutions in particular and provide consultations to the governmental and private sectors.
