Department Overview
The Department of Mental Health at the Faculty of Education was established in September 2008 by Professor Dr. Abdel Muttalib Al-Quraiti.
Department Vision
The Department of Mental Health aspires to become one of the most distinguished academic departments among its counterparts in Egyptian and Arab universities. This distinction is sought in the fields of psychological and educational preparation for student-teachers across various specializations, the provision of psychological and educational counseling services, and the advancement of scientific research in the areas of mental health, psychological counseling, and special education.

The department aims to develop the psychological, educational, and professional aspects of student-teachers at the Faculty of Education. It seeks to prepare qualified professionals in the field of mental health, including teachers, psychologists, and researchers. Additionally, it focuses on enhancing scientific research methods in mental health, psychological counseling, and special education, addressing the specific needs of the local community, contributing to environmental development, and promoting psychological awareness among individuals and groups.
