The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Sector is a key contributor to the Faculty of Education at Helwan University's mission and objectives, which stem from Egypt's Vision 2030. This sector believes in the importance of investing in scientific research and addressing societal issues related to education. The vision of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector is: "Leadership, innovation, and excellence in the faculty's scientific and educational research activities to develop community institutions." The faculty seeks to achieve this through its research mission:

Conducting research that contributes to the development of education and the local community within a framework of societal values ​​and ethics.
Preparing and training teachers capable of developing and advancing the educational process in light of contemporary educational strategies and visions.
Preparing serious and distinguished researchers in the field of educational issues.
Enriching educational knowledge by producing valuable scientific theses and educational research, high-quality scientific publications, and purposeful scientific articles.
Providing educational services and consultations to contribute to achieving sustainable community development.
Raising the college's efficiency and effectiveness as a distinguished research expertise center, working to develop partnerships and cooperation with educational and research institutions and centers, as well as community institutions at the local, regional, and international levels.
Based on this, the college's research plan (2025/2030) defined its strategic objectives as follows:

Enhancing the college's research value and standing and raising the efficiency of scientific research.
Developing the research skills of faculty members and graduate students and enhancing their research competencies.
Encouraging scientific publication in ranked scientific journals.
Encouraging interdisciplinary research and interdisciplinary teaching. Encouraging and supporting joint research between different disciplines.
Participating in research projects funded by local, regional, and international institutions and concluding research agreements with them.
Developing the necessary resources for scientific research activities and funding sources.
