Implementing College Council decisions regarding the department.
Implementing and following up on Department Council decisions.
Supervising the preparation of the department's research plan and following up on its implementation.
Supervising the management of the department's educational, research, administrative, financial, and cultural affairs.
Proposing the distribution of lectures, lessons, and other university work to faculty members in the department.
Preparing proposals for secondment to teach from outside the college and presenting them to the Department Council.
Maintaining order within the department and informing the college administration of anything that might affect the smooth running of the department.
Presenting the Department Council's viewpoint when considering matters submitted to the College Council.
Overseeing the department's administrative, academic, and research development.
Coordinating and developing the department's relationships within and outside the university.
Overseeing the provision of all educational, research, administrative, and financial requirements of the department.
Overseeing the improvement of quality and development of its outputs.
Reporting to the Dean of the College any failure to fulfill required duties or any other violations committed by faculty members and those in a similar capacity.
Conducting periodic reviews and evaluations to ensure the development of the department's scientific and academic curricula and presenting them to the Department Council and College Council.
Monitor the progress of the teaching process and ensure that faculty members are fulfilling their duties.
Prepare performance evaluation reports for faculty members and administrative staff in the department and submit them to the dean of the college.
Supervise academic advising in the department and assign students to faculty members.
Supervise laboratory operations, ensure equipment is in good working order, and address any deficiencies.
Prepare quarterly and annual reports on the department's academic activities.

Assist the Department Council Chair in all assigned tasks related to the major's schedules.
Assist the Department Council Chair in supervising the major's practical education.
Assign a schedule coordinator and a practical education coordinator to communicate with the schedule committee and the practical education office on all matters related to the major.
Assist the department in developing the major's curricula.
Provide the Quality Unit with all matters related to the major, including program and course descriptions, and other tasks.

Develop an annual plan for the Social Committee's activities and present it to the Department Council.
Oversee the collection of members' financial dues.
Select committee members and clearly define their duties.
Oversee all social activities in the department.
Oversee the development of a recreational trip program for department members.
Allocate a portion of the committee's budget to department development activities.
Inform department members of the budget.
Propose and organize activities that strengthen social relations and ties among department members.

Selecting members of the Cultural Committee and clearly defining their duties.
Developing an annual plan for the Cultural Committee's activities and presenting it to the Department Council.
Supervising the implementation of all cultural events in the department, including conferences and seminars.
Developing a plan to organize periodic cultural workshops and meetings in the department.
Supporting the department's website with scientific and cultural bulletins and updates on local, regional, and international scientific conferences.

Select the members of the scheduling committee and clearly define their duties.
Draft the study schedules for the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Coordinate with the department council chair regarding all matters related to study schedules and marking committees.
Coordinate with those responsible for the study process to ensure the provision of suitable classrooms.
Establish marking committees for each semester.
Inform faculty members in the department of their schedules.
Establish fair and objective criteria for assigning marking committees.

Select seminar committee members and clearly define their duties.
Develop a work plan for the committee and present it to the department council.
Prepare a schedule for seminar sessions and announce it to faculty members and graduate students.
Monitor the attendance of faculty members, support staff, and researchers at seminar sessions by creating attendance sheets.
Ensure that the plans presented for the seminar meet the terms and conditions established by the department council prior to presentation.
Activate modern electronic mechanisms and use the department's electronic link to communicate with researchers on all seminar-related matters.
Create a schedule for specialized seminars and announce it to faculty members and researchers.
Organize academic meetings to discuss research issues of interest to researchers.
Ensure that researchers make the necessary amendments to approve the research plans.

Select the members of the Technology Development Committee and clearly define their duties.
Develop a work plan for the committee and present it to the Department Council.
Oversee the technical aspects of the department's online link on the college website.
Oversee technical support for the department's email and follow up on the topics sent through it, in coordination with the Department Council Chair.
Coordinate with the IT unit at the college and the university on all matters related to the department and its members.
Activate the university email for the department's faculty members.
Resolve technical issues facing the department's faculty members.
Oversee the activation of the department's Wi-Fi network.
Develop the department's online link and update it with all the latest developments

Coordinate with the laboratory committee at the college level to develop the department's laboratories.

Develop a plan for department beautification and present it to the Department Council.
Use the work of faculty members and students in technical specialties to decorate the department.
Coordinate with the Social Committee to provide the Department Beautification Committee with financial support when necessary.
