The first field visit for the program students to visit the school

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sayed Qandil, President of the University, Professor Dr. Hossam Refaei, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Hossam Hamdy, Dean of the Faculty, and with the support of Professor Dr. Wael Ramadan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Education and Student Affairs, and the organization of Professor Dr. Doaa Abdel Karim, Coordinator of the German Language Teacher Program for International Schools and Languages, and under the umbrella of the cooperation protocol between Helwan University and Suad Kafafi International Language Schools (SKILLS), the program organized the first field visit for program students to the school on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The visit is a practical experience for the program students, allowing them to experience the learning environment within international schools, providing them with the opportunity to teach at international schools. The school organized the visit program under the patronage of Dr. Manar Barakat, Director of the German School. The visit included attending educational classes for the various educational levels at the school, from primary school to secondary school, observing the teaching of the school teachers and the students' interaction and participation in learning, and attending a theatrical performance in German. The school students participated in various performances, starting with kindergarten. The performances included songs and science competitions between school and university students in German.
The day concluded with active participation in recreational games in the school playground.
At the end of the day, the program students provided feedback on their visit to the school, the extent to which they benefited from the wonderful day, and their experience of the teaching and learning environment in international schools.
Dr. Duaa Abdel Karim highlighted the importance of these field visits as a realistic experience that contributes to building students' personalities and preparing them for the teaching profession.
Dr. Manar Barakat, Director of the German School, expressed her happiness with the cooperation with Helwan University and the Faculty of Education, and that she always seeks further cooperation and community engagement with the university and college to benefit both parties. Professor Dr. Hossam Hamdy also explained that the College of Education seeks to further cooperate and benefit from this partnership, expanding the scope of activities to include training programs and mutual visits to benefit all of the college’s programs.
